The full form of GMAT is the Graduate Management Admission Test, which is planned to test one’s quantitative, analytical, verbal, written skills used for admission to courses like MBA or other management courses. Along with analytical and logical, the exam also tests the problem-solving skills, essential to data sufficiency, and thinking abilities, such skills are required to survive in the management world. Most of the business schools in India and abroad consider this test like an entrance exam for the students who want to pursue an education in the management stream. Hence it is a part of selection criteria for the students applying in various management colleges. For the GMAT online registration, the student needs to go to www.mba.com, which is governed by the GMAC. GMAT is held in 114 countries all around the world.

GMAT Exam Dates 2019

For 2020 also GMAT follows the same structure as in 2019 where registrations happen for the entire year, and results of the exam are shown right after the exam gets over, and the student suitable for they decide the exam date during the registration process. The most tentative dates for registration in 2020 will start from March 2020 and continue ahead for the entire year. Since it is the last month of 2018, Only a few dates are remaining to attempt the GMAT exam. This year the registration for the GMAT exam was started on April 16, 2019.

The registration for the following year 2019, has also been started. Thousands of students across the world take the GMAT every year, and spots at testing centers can fill up fast. The registration process goes one for the entire year. Students can select a particular date according to their preference. In 2018, a similar structure was followed as of 2017. The registration of 2018 started in April 2018. This exam helps the student to decide their ability in the field of graduate business programs. 

The dates for registration in 2018 were April 16.

GMAT Exam Dates and Fees

This exam doesn’t have any specific dates. Students can apply for this exam throughout the year. Candidates can give the exam five times a year and eight times in the lifetime of the GMAT exam, even if the score is canceled. There should be a gap of 16 days between the two GMAT exams.

  • What if I need to reschedule my test?

Take a look at the appointment booking system in mba.com. If you schedule the test before 7 days of the original appointment then you have to pay USD $50. If you reschedule it in less than 7 days then you need to pay the entire registration amount.

  • Are GMAT and CAT similar?

GMAT is an admission test in the management field considered in top business schools from around the world while in the case of CAT it is accepted predominantly in India and very few colleges abroad.

  • How to cancel the GMAT test?

You can cancel the exam through mba.com. If you cancel the exam within 7 days notice, you will receive a partial refund of $80. 

  • For how many years is GMAT valid?

The GMAT score is valid for 5 years. Students can use the same score even if they take a year drop.

  • How much does GMAT cost?

The overall cost of the exam is $250. The rescheduling and canceling causes extra charges.
