1. Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB)

Indian Institute of Technology has been established in 1958 and was the first to set up with foreign assistance.

It has emerged as the top technical universities in the world providing undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral and research programs with an outstanding faculty along with international support staff.

2. Indian Institute of Science

Indian Institute of Science was established in 1909 with joint efforts of Jamsetji Tata, Government of India and Maharaja of Mysore located in Bangalore.

It has over 40 departments with 4000 students leading for the Research University in India.

It comprises of 418 Undergraduate students and 3,325 postgraduate students.

Admission is done through JEE Main, JEE Advanced, NEET, GATE, CEED, JAM, KVPY, and other exams.

3.   Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM)

Indian Institute of Technology Madras is among the foremost institutes of national importance in higher technological education, basic and applied research with 250 hectares of land.

This institute has 16 departments and a few advanced research centers in various disciplines of pure sciences and engineering with approximately 100 laboratories located in the city of Chennai, Tamil Nadu, a southern state in India.

It comprises of 8000 students and admission is done through JEE Advanced, JAM, GATE, CAT, HSEE exam.

4. Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IITD)

Indian Institute of Technology Delhi is created as the centers of excellence for higher training, research, and development in science and technology, engineering established in 1963.

It offers B.Tech., M.Tech, dual degree, M.S. by Research, M.Sc., M.Des, MBA courses. Admission is done through JAM, GATE, JEE Advanced, CAT.

5.   Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (IIT-KGP)

Established in 1951, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur stands tall for it’s Academic and Research centres with its top-class faculty.

UG, PG, Doctorate and Research program located in Bengal with 6,316 UG students and 5,184 PG students offering 2-5 years’ bachelor’s and masters courses through various modes of exams like JEE Advanced, GATE, JAM, CAT.

6.   Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK)

Established in 1959, IIT Kanpur is located in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh and considered as the most famous university for pioneering science-based engineering education systems comprising of 3938 UG Students and 2,540 PG students.

The admission mode is through clearing JEE Advanced, CAT and GATE exam.

7. University of Hyderabad

University of Hyderabad offers postgraduate programs through its 12 schools such as Mathematics and Statistics, School of Physics, Humanities, Social Sciences, Sarojini Naidu School of Arts & Communication, Management studies, Medical Sciences, Engineering Sciences and Technology, Economics, Computer, and Information Sciences enrolled with 5000 students.

8. University of Delhi

Established in 1922, University of Delhi is known for the high standards in teaching and the research centers located in Delhi.

The East campus focuses on Medical Sciences while its West focuses on Engineering and Technology.

Other topics such as Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Economics, and Sociology are taught.

9.  Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IITR)

Established in 1847, Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee located in Uttarakhand, India has 22  academic departments that cover Engineering, Applied Sciences, Management, Humanities and Social sciences with technological education and research.

It runs 11 UG, one integrated dual degree, 61 PG and 7 doctoral programs and the admission is done through REE, JEE, JAM, CAT, JMET exams.

10.   Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IITG)

Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati was established in 1994 with 2728 UG, 3,236 PG students located in Guwahati, Assam.

The institute offers B.Tech., B.Des., M.Des., M.Tech., M.A., M.Sc. and Ph.D. programs in various departments like chemical engineering, chemistry, civil engineering, computer science, design, electronics and electrical engineering, humanities and social sciences, Physics, maths, and Mechanical Engineering.
