Undergraduate Programs

IIT Kanpur offers four-year B.Tech programs in Aerospace Engineering, Biological Sciences and Bio-building, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. IIT Kanpur CUT OFF

JEE advanced is a legitimate exam that the candidate is required to give to get admission in any of IIT’S.  This exam is held in an online mode. JEE advanced cut off for IIT Kanpur is minimum marks required by a candidate to take admission in B.TECH courses.

JEE Advanced cut off is different for different courses. Apart from cut off criteria, the candidate needs to satisfy other eligibility norms as well to get into IIT’S.

IIT Kanpur M.TECH

Any person taking admission in M.tech must have a bachelor’s degree with marks not below than 55%. Specified cut off criteria in the bachelor’s degree is not applicable for students belonging to SC/ST. A valid GATE score is needed for admission. However, GATE requirement is waived off for a B.TECH student of an IIT

Who has scored overall CPI of 6.5:

A minimum CPI of 8 in the last two semesters in B. Tech. 

However, such students are not entitled to Institute financial grant if he fails to score an overall CPI of  8.

IIT Kanpur MBA

IIT Kanpur is open for MBA admission for the academic year 2020-2022.  To apply, the candidate must appear for CAT 2019 conducted by IIMS.

IIT Kanpur ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Candidate must appear for CAT2019.

FOR GEN, EWS, OBC CANDIDATE

• Overall CAT-2019 scores of 85 percentile and above.
• 65% and above in Class X and Class XII examinations.

FOR ST AND SC CANDIDATE

• Overall CAT-2019 scores of 75 percentile and above.
• 55% and above in Class X and Class XII examinations.

Candidates appearing for the final degree examination can also apply. Such candidates, if selected, will be admitted provisionally. They have to complete all the requirements of the qualifying degree at the time of joining the course.

IIT Kanpur PhD

A candidate who is interested in pursuing a Ph.D. can do so as their admission process has commenced from July 2020. Financial assistance is also given to students pursuing a Ph.D. of 31000INR for the first two years and 35000INR for remaining years. Below is given eligibility criteria for applying to PH.D. Candidate must follow the eligibility criteria to apply:

Eligibility Requirements:

1. The  minimum marks/CPI is  55 percent marks or 5.5 (on a 10 point scale) 
2. The above aforesaid criteria are not applicable for SC/ST.

IIT Kanpur FEES

IIT FEES for the complete course fees between Rs 8-10 lakh for general category students. In the past six years, the fees for General category students of  B.Tech in IITs, has increased three-times that is from Rs 50,000 annually to Rs 3 lakh, However, the fees for other course is not changed.
