Introduction

Manipal University, currently known as Manipal Academy of Higher Education ( MAHE), is one of the major top-rated private universities located in Manipal at Udupi, Karnataka. Dr. Tonse Madhav Ananth Pai originally established the institute in the year 1953. Later in 1993, the present organizational structure of higher education was formed, and University Grants Commission gave it the status of a deemed university. Further, the university had two other branches in Sikkim, and Jaipur and satellite campuses were established in Dubai, Nepal, Mangalore, Caribbean, and Malaysia.

The university offers various programs for undergraduates, postgraduates, and doctorate levels in various fields like medicine, nursing, engineering, pharmacy, tourism, communication, hospitality, humanities, life sciences, nursing, and architecture, etc.

In total, there are 434 courses available in 16 different streams.

Admissions to Manipal University

The university accepts applications for undergraduate, postgraduate and research programs in different disciplines.

Students are supposed to register themselves for their desired courses;

Step 1– Visit the official website of the university, tap on admissions.
Step 2– Click ‘Programs’ and go through the courses offered, scroll down and tap on ‘Apply Now.’
Step 3– Register yourself. For that, you’ll need a valid mobile number and mailing address. Enter the Manipal University Login Details.
Step 4– Now the fill-up of the form without any discrepancies and upload all the required documents with correct dimensions.
Step 5– Check the form once again and now submit it with the application fee along with the application form.

Criteria of Selection

Admissions to the various courses at Manipal University are based on the marks obtained in Manipal University Online Entrance Test( MUOET). Other than this, various national level entrance tests which are accepted for admissions in the university are as follows;

For admissions in medical courses– NEET ( National Eligibility cum Entrance Test)
Admissions in Bachelor of Architecture– NATA ( National Aptitude Test in Architecture)
For BA, B.Sc. , MA, MPT, and MSW– marks of Qualifying Examination.

MUOET- Manipal University Online Entrance Test

This test is conducted nationwide for admissions in UG Programmes in various disciplines and specializations in Manipal University.

Syllabus for MUOET

Manipal University sets the syllabus for the Manipal University Online Entrance Test for admissions to various Undergraduate Programmes. It includes topics mainly from Class 11&12th like Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Calculus, Periodic Table, Current Electricity and Magnetism, Geometry, Motion, Atoms, and its Particles, etc.
