KEAM, the Kerala Engineering, Architecture, and Medical entrance examination, is the gateway to professional degree courses across Kerala. Conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala, KEAM 2026 has moved fully to a computer-based test format. This guide covers the verified 2026 exam pattern, dates, fees, eligibility, rank list and results.
What Is KEAM 2026?
KEAM 2026 is the Kerala Engineering, Architecture, and Medical entrance examination conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala. It governs admission to professional degree courses including B.Tech, B.Pharm, B.Arch, medical, agriculture, and veterinary programmes across the state. The engineering and pharmacy exams are held online as computer-based tests.
KEAM covers admission to B.Tech, B.Pharm, B.Arch, and medical, agriculture, veterinary, fisheries and allied courses in Kerala's government and participating private colleges. While the engineering and pharmacy streams are assessed through the CEE entrance test, medical admissions are based on NEET-UG and architecture on NATA, with KEAM registration mandatory for state counselling.

The KEAM 2026 engineering exam is a computer-based test with 150 questions, that is 75 in Mathematics, 45 in Physics, and 30 in Chemistry, answered in 180 minutes. The pharmacy exam has 45 Chemistry and 30 Physics questions in 90 minutes. Each correct answer earns four marks; one mark is deducted for every wrong answer.
| Exam 2026 | Subjects and Questions | Total Questions | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Engineering | Maths 75, Physics 45, Chemistry 30 | 150 | 180 minutes |

Each question is a multiple-choice question with five options, of which only one is the most appropriate response. Because the CBT runs across several sessions and days, CEE applies a normalization procedure so that candidates are neither advantaged nor disadvantaged by the difficulty of a particular session. Candidates who fail to answer even a single question are disqualified from the rank list.
