Eligibility Criteria 

If you are willing to study MBBS in Nepal, then you should meet the criteria listed below. Read them carefully.

  1. Your age must be above 17 years. Students below this age are not eligible.
  2. The subjects in your 12th standard must include Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, or any science background.
  3. Your score must be equal to or above 50% in the above-mentioned subjects.
  4. Some colleges also take entrance exams so you have to pass them as well to study there.
  5. As mentioned above VISA is not required but you should have a passport.
  6. Willing students must also clear the NEET exam.

Documents Required

  1. Birth certificate
  2. 10th and 12th passing certificate
  3. Any Government ID proof
  4. NEET Scorecard
  5. Passport(as per requirements)

Basic Information

  1. You should have 50% in your 12th standard.
  2. It is compulsory to give NEET Entrance exam.
  3. The minimum fees you have to pay will be around 8.10 Lakhs per year and the maximum will be 9.50 lakhs per year.
  4. The teaching medium will be in English and Nepali.

Course Duration

Basically, your MBBS degree will have 5years and 6 months. Starting 2 years you will get all the theoretical knowledge based on theory subjects of the medical field. In 3rd year you will be introduced to practical labs for practical knowledge. Then there will be also an internship program as well which will be conducted in the 5th year of your course.

MBBS in government colleges of Nepal has 2-phase. The first phase includes 4 semesters where the professors will teach you theoretical knowledge related to subjects like Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, and Pharmacology. The next 5 semesters contain clinical applications.

Accommodation

Hostels will be separately provided to girls and boys as per their allotted universities or colleges. If any student wants to live with their parents or relatives they have to take special permission.
