Get a German student visa with a letter of admission from a university. The visa is valid for 3 months and can be extended for up to 3 years for Indian students.

German student visa costs 75€ (37.5€ for minors) for Indians. Payment in Indian Rupees. Exchange rate should be checked. Visa fee non-refundable. Scholarships exempt from processing fees.

German student visa processing time for India is approximately 12 weeks (3 months). Apply early to ensure timely arrival in Germany. New Delhi Embassy may have longer processing due to higher application volume.

Indian students applying for a German student visa need to submit a completed application form, passport, biometric photos, acceptance letter, Statement of Purpose, proof of financial resources, academic certificates,language skills proof, and a Demand Draft.
