<h3><span style="color: #0000ff;">History</span></h3>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Located in Glasgow, Scotland this University was founded in 1796 whose aim was "Useful Learning" – specialising in practical subjects – "for the good of mankind and the improvement of science, a place of useful learning". It was under the University of Glasgow till 1964 before becoming the University of Strathclyde. Since then, the university has grown from approximately 4,000 full-time students to over 20,000 students in 2003, when it celebrated the 100th anniversary of the laying of the foundation stone of the original Royal College building.</span></p>
<h3><span style="color: #0000ff;">Overview</span></h3>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Entry into this University is highly competitive. The Royal College Building is the centrepiece building. Besides that, the other campuses are John Anderson Campus, Livingstone Tower, James Weir Building and Architecture Building. It also has a leisure facility namely the University of Strathclyde Centre for Sports, Health and Wellbeing. Its library, the Anderson Library is one of the largest libraries in Scotland.  The centre for technological research called the University of Strathclyde Technology and Innovation Centre was opened by Her Majesty the Queen in July 2015  </span></p>
