Masters in Pharmacy is one of the standard masters’ degree in the field of pharmaceuticals. It is also one of the oldest degrees provided by from the European Faculties. It is 4 year course based degree with follow credit system. It is done to broaden the knowledge of medical sciences. In the last year of the degree students have to work and research on a thesis and submit at the time of final practical. It opens up a wide range of job opportunities for students ranging from public to corporate sector. For pursuing the different courses in Pharmacy, the students must have an interest for science, particularly Life Sciences and medicine. After the completion of the course, graduate students can find a lot of jobs in Bio-Pharm, medical devices and equipment manufacturing companies, cosmetics and perfume companies, consultancies, blood banks, pharmacy journalists, food and drug control administration, research associates, nutraceuticals, hospitals, health centers, and a lot more.

Eligibility Criteria

For taking an admission to these colleges, international students first need to give GRE and TOEFL/IELTS. The scholarships are offered to the students depending on their previous academic results, and after entering into the universities, their academic scores. If the students score well in the 1st semester, they may get a fee waiver for the 2nd one. The fee may vary between 4 Lakhs to 25 Lakhs depending on the course and university you choose. For example, the Masters of Psychology ranges from 4-5 Lakhs whereas the total fee in MSc in Pharmaceutical Analysis can go up to 23 Lakhs.

To get entry into a Master of Pharmacy degree program abroad, a student has to follow these steps:

  • Research and get information: To pursue any degree program abroad, a student needs to get knowledge about the various programs available abroad and then choose a few of them to apply to. Students need to be aware of the programs available at different universities and for this they can take help of the internet and a qualified counselor who can guide them properly.
  • Complete the eligibility criteria: For admission into most of the countries abroad, students are required to appear for English Proficiency exams since it is mandatory to prove their competency in English language. Students can appear for any of the exams like IELTS, TOEFL or PTE.

The second best top paying country to Pharmacists is Switzerland. According to Pay Scale, the majority of Pharmacists have an experience of just 1 to 4 years while only 4% have more than 20 years of experience.
