Both B.Com and BBA are taught with an emphasis on finance, accounts and business studies,while B.Com covers a wide range of subjects, which are Accountancy,  Finance, Business Administration, Economics and leads to careers such as MBA, LLB, CA, CS, CFA, International studies, Designing/Merchandising, MBE, M. Com and many others. In contrast, BBA is a combination of business academics and professional knowledge packaged with profound exposure. It eventually leads to careers in Marketing, Human Resource, General Management, and Finance, LLB, CFA, etc. The two most revered commerce careers are Chartered Accountancy and Company Secretary. The former emphasizes accounting and quantitative aptitude, the latter focuses more on the corporate functioning of a business on the basis of laws and practices. Company Secretary course also focuses on business management, law, accounting, economics as well as business communication. Courses such as Bachelor of Business/Finance Management, Bachelors of Economics, are also preferred by the students of commerce stream. Then there is also the regular Bachelor of Arts Program, that gives you the freedom to study a combination of business and management subjects together.

Marketing is a prominent aspect of any business process that is currently in function. A carer in marketing is also a possibility. So, there are career options to pursue business and management without having mathematics as an additional subject. In addition, there are management courses in Finance, Operations, Marketing, Human Resource, International Business, etc that offer career-oriented and professional study programs.  

In order to study Business and Management abroad, these are the requirements-

  1. Good Aggregate in 10th and 12th grade, above 90% in both for the top universities and above 75% with Maths and English as mandatory subjects for the others.
  2. SAT Range: 1200-1570/1600 (writing, critical reading, and mathematics)/ ACT Range: 27-35. Minimum score differs for countries, course levels, and individual universities.
  3. Letters of Recommendation from your recent professor.
  4. TOEFL or IELTS (Above 6.0 band)- This is an English language testing assessment and it is necessary to score above 6.5 for top universities and 6.0 for other universities.

In addition, interviews are also conducted by universities for eligible students and you might require to take a written or practical assessment at the interview.
