Nicknamed the “Bridge City” owing to its river crossings, Saskatoon is the largest city in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan. Its economy mostly depends on the abundance of natural resources and related industries. In addition to that, its economy also derives revenue from science and technology firms and as a distribution-worthy location.
The city is extremely flourishing in the educational sector. It is home to the University of Saskatchewan, the largest educational institute in the province and alma mater to around 70 Rhodes scholars. The university provides education at all levels in subjects ranging from agriculture, biotechnology, engineering, dentistry, law and medicine to arts, education, nursing, business and veterinary medicine.
It is also host to a campus of Saskatchewan Polytechnic, imparting technical education in fields like media, business and aviation and internationally reputed for its technical superiority and innovation. It also houses a campus of Gabriel Dumont Institute, indulged in providing educational services to various communities of Canada. In addition to these institutions, the city is also host to St. Thomas More College, federated to the University of Saskatchewan.
The city’s economic perspective is constant and prosperous while its educational scene is also efficient. Combined, these two factors make the city a top destination for students.
