The Acsenda School of Management is a nonprofit Canadian Degree college situated in Vancouver, British Columbia. The college was formerly known as Sprott-Shaw Community College, which was later became Sprott-Shaw Degree College. Presently, the college is located on the 2nd floor 666 Burrard Street Vancouver, Columbia. It was previously located at 1090 West Pender Street in Vancouver.
The Minister of Advanced Education, 2004, granted the college permission to start the degree of Bachelor of Business Administration. In 2005, the college saw its first students who commenced the BBA program 2007.Honorable Brian Peckford was appointed as the first Chancellor. In 2010, the campus moved from Burnaby to Vancouver. In 2007, CIBT Education Group Inc, acquired the Sprott-Shaw Community College.
In 2011, new proposal was put forward to start the Degree Quality Assessment Board(DQAB), and in 2012, they received the consent. In the same year, they also receive consent for the direct admission of students to the four year Bachelor of Hospitality Management (BHM) Degree with Internships. With 2013, the college saw its name being changed to Acsenda School of Management. They also got a new logo and motto. The college was moved to a new campus in 1090 West Pender St. Vancouver.
In 2014, the college celebrated its 10th anniversary with a lecture on Global Leadership and the Alumni Homecoming Dinner. Dr Lindsay Redpath was elected as the first President and Vice Chancellor of the new college Acsenda School of Management. In 2015, the college received consent for offering BBA and BHM degrees, under the college’s name. And in 2016, ASM became a part of EduCo International Group after getting a positive response from the Minister of Advanced Education.
Acsenda School of Management offers a lot of degrees. They put forward a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (BBA) and Hospitality Management (BHM) degrees. The students can also choose their specializations. They can choose from marketing, Human resources, Accounting, International Business or General Business. Acsenda School of Management accepts students who have scored C+ or more in their entrance exams. Students, once they are admitted are expected to collect credits. They need to have 120 credits for BBA and BHM programs or 40 courses at 3 credits per course. An Academic year, in Acsenda School of Management is divided into four terms. Acsenda School is also listed in the British Columbia Transfer Credit Guide. The college offers it degrees under the written consent. The written consent is given by the Minister of Advanced Education, skills and training of British Columbia Education Quality Assurance Program as well as the degree Quality Assessment Board of British Columbia.
Acsenda is a college that promises its students to give the best education. They purposely, keep a class with a lower strength so that they can give full attention to each of its students. All students are trained to have a successful career life, by giving them the required skills and knowledge. The give most stress in enhancing the students leadership skills. Moreover by having less number of students per batch, the teacher also understand each student’s strengths and therefore, move with a considerable pace.
