How to apply in Confederation College

Applying to the Confederation College is now pretty easy with its online application portal. The applicant has to log in to the portal and follow the step-wise instructions. However, the links for Ontario and International students are different (a note to remember). There is no choice of applying directly to the college or through an agent for international students. Moreover, the application process can differ for courses in undergraduate and postgraduate.

  • Open the Confederation College website, and click on the link for international students. 
  • After opening the link, the first step will be to fill the application form through another link given on the portal. 
  • Fill in all the necessary details like age, country, educational qualification, English language test score, program chosen. 
  • After filling the form, submit it and wait till the Confederation College confirms your application status.  
  • The processing of the form can take five working days, but it can delay due to the heavy burden on the college. 
  • After processing, the applicant can see the status of the form as closed, needs more information, waitlisted, accepted or conditioned offer. 
  • At last, if the form is accepted, the applicant will receive an acceptance letter and can pay the tuition fees. 

Eligibility

Confederation College has its requirements and eligibility criteria for international students applying to undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Moreover, the criteria can differ for some programs. Apart from this, the Confederation College requires English language proficiency and has a set minimum score on IETLS/TOEFL and GMAT.

Eligibility Criteria for Undergraduate

  • The Confederation College asks for a higher secondary school (Grade 12) Certificate from Ontario or overseas equivalent. 
  • Moreover, it demands official and notarized transcripts of all the certificates from international students. 
  • Apart from the certificate, the Confederation College asks for a minimum score on English language tests.
  • In addition, other specific undergraduate courses can have their special requirements from international students. 
  • For the engineering programs, the applicants should not have more than six backlogs/failures with a score of 6.5 in IETLS

Eligibility Criteria for Postgraduates

  • For studying postgraduation at the Confederation College, the students must have three/four-year degrees from a well-known college overseas. 
  • For postgraduation courses, the college demands official, notarized and translated copies of all the certificates. 
  • At Confederation college postgraduation programs, some work experience may be needed. 
  • English language requirements score is IETLS 6.5 and, no band lower than 6.0 will be entertained. 
  • Additionally, the college can take an interview for courses from postgraduation students. 

Eligibility Criteria for PhD.

  • For doing PhD in Confederation College, the applicant must submit official transcripts of upper-second class honours. 
  • Moreover, if the applicant has overall grade points of 3.0 or above, they will be awarded four more credit points. 
  • Along with these, the applicant has to show English proficiency by having a 6.5 or above score in English Language tests (IETLS, TOEFL, TOEFL iBt, PET).
