About Cranfield University

Cranfield University is a public research institution in the United Kingdom that specializes in science, engineering, architecture, technology, and management. Cranfield University began as the College of Aeronautics in 1946. The advancement of aviation research in the 1950s and 1960s led to expansion and expansion into other fields such as production and management, culminating in the establishment of the Cranfield School of Management in 1967.  The Cranfield Institute of Technology was renamed the College of Aeronautics in 1969, and it was established by royal charter, given degree-awarding privileges, and became a university. It was given its present name in 1993.
