About Florida International University

Florida International University is a famous public research university that prides itself on providing high-quality education to its students. It first opened its doors in 1965. However, The State Board of Education, in partnership with the Board of Regents, planned the founding of this university after getting approval for Senate Bill 711. This institution has the record for the greatest opening enrolment in the history of the United States, with a total of 5,667 students. Moreover, The Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine was founded in 2009, while the Florida International University's College of Law was established in 2002. Mark B. Rosenberg currently serves as the president of this institution.

Florida International University - Campus

The Florida International University which is based in Miami, Florida, had two main campuses and multiple satellite campuses in South Florida, China, and Italy. The Modesto Maidique Campus, formerly known as the University Park Campus, provides students with a convenient location and numerous research centers. And it was spread across 342 acres and become the main campus of the Florida International University. In addition, The Biscayne Campus is located in North Miami and offers students housing alternatives.

    • Before beginning classes at FIU in the early fall/fall of 2021, the student must have completed their senior year of high school.
    • A minimum GPA of 4.0 is required.
    • A minimum SAT score of 1370 or an ACT score of 30 is required.
    • To study in the United States, international students must have obtained an F-1 visa.
  • And the students who are eligible for this scholarship will be awarded 100%  coverage of both tuition and books fee in the form of a stipend.
  • Ambassador Premier Scholarship: Another merit-based award for international students at Florida International University is the Ambassador Premier Scholarship. To be eligible for the Ambassador Premier Scholarship, the student must complete the following requirements:
    • Before enrolling at FIU in the early fall/fall of 2021, you must complete your senior high school coursework.
      A minimum GPA of 4.0 is required.
    • A minimum SAT score of 1280 or an ACT score of 27 is required.
    • To study in the United States, you must have received an F-1 visa.

And the students who are eligible for this scholarship award are given 75% coverage for their both tuition and books fees in the form of a stipend.

  • National Recognition Programs at Florida International University Collegeboard: This reward is given to students who are finalists for Presidential or Ambassador scholarships are eligible for this award. A $1,000 scholarship is given out as a scholarship award.
  • National Merit Scholarship: Students who meet the standards for Presidential/Ambassador Scholarships and are chosen as finalists for the National Merit Scholarship. Based on the attendance, full tuition fees, housing, and board, etc are provided for the students.

How to apply in the Florida International University

International students who want to apply for the Florida International University need to pay the application fee of 30US dollars and the application fee is non-refundable. This application fee is the same for both Undergraduate and graduate students. There are 3 intake periods in the university, Spring, Summer, and Fall intakes.
