About George Brown College

The full name of George Brown College is George Brown College of Applied Arts and Technology. It is a type of public university and is located in Canada. It was established in 1967. It is called George Brown just because it was named before a publisher and politician whose name is George Brown. This college is also the first college that has started the distance education system.

George Brown College Campus

George Brown College has three campuses which are named Waterfront college Campus, St James Campus and  Casa Loma Campus which is the main campus out of the three. It is also famous for its green and clean space of the college. The St. James campus has five buildings which are home to the Business Administration, Creative Arts, and financial services and also of the Centre of Hospitality and Culinary Arts. The Waterfront campus is home to the Centre of Health Sciences.

Eligibility

The eligibility requirements for George Brown College are different for the different programs of UF and PG.

Eligibility criteria for the UG programs 

  • Passed from senior secondary school.
  • Minimum 60%for all the subjects in 10 std and 12 std.
  • Minimum 50 % in English in 10std and 12std.
  • Students who have completed 12 std without Mathematics their subject scores will be considered if the score is a minimum 70% aggregate.
  • For some programs science grades are also required of 12std.
  • IELTS score of minimum 6.5 bands or 6.
  • TOEFL score of minimum 84 i.e., 21 in each skill band.
  • A minimum score of 85 in MELAB.
  • A minimum score of 70 by having 60 in the writing section in CAEL.
  • A minimum score of 176 in Cambridge English Exams.
  • A minimum score of 60 with 55 in each skill band in PTE Academic.

  • Graduate from a college/university.
  • Fashion program students should have a minimum 70% aggregate in a first-class degree.
  • First-class or second-class degree scores are required. Students of business programs should have 55% aggregate and for all other streams, they should have 60% aggregate in second class degree scores.
  • Should have a core of 125 in DET.
  • IELTS score of minimum 6.5 bands or 6.
  • TOEFL score of minimum 84 i.e., 21 in each skill band.
  • A minimum score of 85 in MELAB.
