James Cook University is a public university in North Queensland, Australia. JCU is Queensland's second-oldest university and a teaching and research institution. The university's primary research fields include environmental sciences, biological sciences, mathematical sciences, earth sciences, agricultural and veterinary sciences, technology, and medical and health sciences.

James Cook University has three main campuses in Australia's tropical towns of Cairns and Townsville, as well as in Singapore, the international capital. Admission Process

How to apply to James cook University

  • Look for a course in courses and take it. If you've already completed this, go to the next step.
  • You must be on the webpage of your selected course to register as a first-time user on JCU's online application portal (for example the Bachelor of Marine Science webpage).
  • Before selecting the Apply option, pick Apply International and go over the contents. You can also opt to apply through one of JCU's authorized overseas representatives/agents.
  • Log back into your online application or click the Upload Supporting Documentation option to upload documents after you've submitted your application.
  • If your application is accepted, they will send you an offer through email.
  • Once you've received your Offer, sign each page, fill out the Acceptance and Money form, and submit it to International Admissions, or your JCU representative, together with any payment required by your Offer letter.
  • JCU will subsequently send you an electronic Enrolment Confirmation (eCOE). This is the paperwork you'll need to apply for an Australian student visa. When your offer is accepted, we'll provide you with further information. Use your eCOE to apply for a student visa at your home country's nearest embassy or consulate.
