About Lawrence Technological University

Lawrence Technological University, based in Southfield, Michigan, is a private higher education institution. The Lawrence brothers founded the institution in 1932, and it was situated in Highland Park until 1955. To extend campus lands, the college was relocated to Southfield in 1955. The University is a part of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools and is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, which includes its graduate programs.

Aside from that, the Blue Devils are the athletic teams of the institution. NAIA Division II was the competition for the teams in the university. They competed in the Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference in 2012. The university offers a variety of sports, including bowling, basketball, ice hockey, cross country, lacrosse, and soccer, as well as volleyball.

Lawrence Technological University: Campus

The College of Architecture and Design (CoAD) and the University Technology and Learning Centre (UTLC) are the two primary academic buildings on the Lawrence Technological University campus. The total area of the Campus is 107 acres. The University's Kahn Library provides students with around 3000 learning resources to assist them to achieve in their fields of study.

Lawrence Tech's original motto was "theory and practice," and this idea is reflected in all of the courses. Since the university's inception, the College of Engineering has collaborated with state and federal agencies on practical research. The International Design Clinic, which was founded in 2006, has been dedicated to much-needed design initiatives all across the world, such as a construction-materials-based play area for Romanian orphans.

  • STEM Scholar Award:  Students must meet the following criteria to be considered for this scholarship:
  •  Enrolled and admitted at Lawrence Technological University as a first-year student for the Fall of 2022.
  •   Apply and submit the FAFSA application form.
  • By August 1, you must have filed your application.
  • STEM Scholar Award Application for Incoming Students -Amount of award: $19,650 per year ($78,600 over 8 semesters)

  • This scholarship is applied only for students from Bachelors of Science courses along with Associate Art in radio and Television Broadcasting.
  • Girls Scout Gold Scholarship: Students must meet the following criteria to be considered for this scholarship:
    • Apply and admit as a first-year student for the Fall of 2022.
    • Achieved Gold Award status as a Girl Scout.
    • Amount of award: $1,000 per year ($4,000 over 8 semesters)
    • Application for Girl Scout Gold Award Scholarship and a copy of the Girl Scout Gold Award must be submitted by April 1st.
  • International Students Graduate Scholarships: Upon acceptance, accepted students are automatically assessed for merit scholarships.
  • Scholarships are renewable for up to two years if you enroll in at least 6 credit hours full-time and have a 3.0 GPA.
  • $3,000 for a 3.0 GPA.
  • $5,000 for a 3.3 GPA.
  • $6,500 if you have a 3.5 GPA or above.
  • Industry Partner Scholarships: Must be directly hired by a partnership entity that has been pre-approved.The graduate component of this scholarship is not available to dependents.

To be eligible, you must complete at least 3 credit hours.

  • The value of a scholarship is typically 35% of the tuition payment.
  • Scholarship for 3 credit hours: $1,300
  • Scholarship for 6 credit hours: $2,600

  • It is not possible to combine this award with any other university scholarships or grants; the value of a scholarship is typically 35% of the tuition payment.
  • Phi Theta Kappa Scholarships: Students must meet the following criteria to be considered for this scholarship:
  •  Enroll and accept as a transfer student for the Fall of 2022. (must enroll immediately following two-year college)
  •  Become a Phi Theta Kappa member and need a 3.0 or above college GPA. 
  • By June 1, you must submit a Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship application and an essay detailing how attending a community college prepared you for the transition to a four-year university.

The eligibility criteria for Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses is a little bit different. Along with the English Proficiency level exams, Students need to qualify in SAT, ACT, GMAT, and GRE exams to get admission into the University easily. And international students need to get F-1 Visa to study in the University so, they need to get an I-20 eligibility certificate to get F-1 Visa.
