The Macquarie University is located in Sydney, Australia, in the suburb of Macquarie Park. It is a public university established in 1964. It was founded by the New South Wales Government. In the metropolitan area of Sydney, it was the third university to be established.
The university has five faculties. The Macquarie University Hospital and the Macquarie Graduate School of Management are situated in the main campus of the university in suburban Sydney. The degree system of the university is fully aligned with the Bologna Accord and it is the first university in Australia to do so.
