  • There are three residential complexes available in the St. John's on-campus student housing department.
  • The first residential complex, Paton College, offers dormitory-style residential spaces for 1000 students.
  • The second residential complex, Macpherson College also offers dormitory-style residential spaces for 250 students in its two halls.
  • The third residential complex, Burton's Pond offers apartment-style accommodation, with four residents sharing a flat, to 500 students.

  • The most easterly point of North America, Cape Spear is very close to the city and it offers some incredible views of the sea and some historic lighthouses are present too.
  • Quidi Vidi is a part of the city that is famous for its craft arts and beer. There are some beautiful buildings and microbrewery in this area worth a visit.
  • Signal Hill is also a must-visit place when you're in St. John's. It is a trek away from the city and was the first place to receive a trans-Atlantic signal, hence the name. 
  • George Street has some good live music and pubs and perfect for student's night out.
  • You can also book a tour to see Puffins in one of the largest Puffin colonies in North America.
