How To Apply To Newcastle University?

  • Admissions to Newcastle University are through the online university portal.
  • An international applicant should apply at least 12 weeks before the semester or trimester.
  • Students must fill in the online application form duly to be considered for admission.
  • They must submit all the necessary documents as mentioned by the university.
  • After submission of all documents, students must also pay the application fee. For an undergraduate program, the application fee is GBP 20, and for some professional courses, the fee is GBP 50.
  • Once the application is submitted, you will receive a welcome email from UCAS and the university and details regarding using the 'UCAS track' system.

Newcastle University Eligibility

The eligibility requirements for different courses might be different. However, there are a few eligibility requirements that every international student needs to fulfil to apply to Newcastle University.

Eligibility for PG

  • Students need to secure at least 75% in grade 12 examinations comparable to ABB at A level.
  • For some courses, SAT scores might be required.
  • Students coming from non-English speaking countries need to provide proof of English Language Proficiency. They need to secure a minimum of 6.5 in IELTS with 5.5 in each skill; a minimum of 90 in TOEFL IBT with 18 in reading, 17 in writing, 17 in listening and 20 in speaking or a minimum of 62 in PTE with a sub-score of 51.

  • Students applying to postgraduate courses must have a Bachelor's degree from a recognised institution.
  • They need to submit GRE/GMAT scores.
