About Northern College

The Northern College of Applied Technology and Arts is known by the famous name Northern College. It is situated in northern Ontario. It is the college of applied arts and technology. It is a type of public university. Many respected affiliations are included in the institution like ACCC, AUCC, and CCAA. The college has an area of 58,000 square miles. More than 65 communities’ study in this college.

Northern College - Campus

There are mainly four campuses of the Northern College. The four campuses are Moosonee campus, Timmins campus, Kirkland Lake campus and Haileybury campus. In the Haileybury campus Veterinary Sciences Centre is situated. There are many programs here like the Veterinary Technology of three years and the Wildlife Rehabilitation program. The Moosonee campus has the satellite trades center which is joined with the Centre of Excellence for Technology and Trades of the Timmins Campus. The Kirkland Campus has the School of Welding Engineering Technology. It is also the truth that they were the first it becomes a respected and authorized training center for the International Institute of Welding. (IIW).

 How to apply to Northern College

It is often advised by the experts that we should apply for a particular program at Northern college before 8 months of the start date of the program. There is the different date to apply for the program according to the various countries. For Indian students, it is 8 weeks before the start date. The application of Indian students applying after this will not get accepted.

Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for the Northern College are different according to the different programs. Eligibility criteria for the UG programs are different from the PG programs.

 The eligibility criteria for the UG students are as follows:

  • Age maturity
  • English proficiency test s scores like IELTS with a minimum score of 6.0 bands and above, 
  • TOEFL score of 79 at least, 
  • PTE score of 60 or higher.
  • Basic education details like the 12 std should be from a recognized board and English should be there as a compulsory subject

The eligibility criteria for PG students are as follows:

  • PG applicants should have A three or four year diploma or bachelor's degree from a recognized institution in a relevant subject.
  • A total of 6.0 bands is required in IELTS Academic
  • A minimum total score of 79 is required in TOEFL.
  • A total score of 60 or above is required in PTE academic.
  • Mature students are those who are 19 years old or older. Applicants to post-secondary programs may be required to take academic tests and/or update their qualifications to fulfil the minimal criteria.
