ABOUT ROYAL ROAD UNIVERSITY

Royal Roads University (RRU) is a public institution in Colwood, British Columbia. It can be found in Vancouver in the Hatley Park Nat. Historic Site. Following the deactivation of R.R. Military College in 1995, the British Columbia government established Royal Roads University as a public institution specializing in applied & professional degree programs. RRMC graduates are included in the university's larger alumni group.

The International Association of Universities & the Canadian Bureau for International Education is 2 reputable organizations with which it's affiliated. In addition, the institution is affiliated with Universities Canada and the Canadian Virtual University.

ROYAL ROAD UNIVERSITY CAMPUS

The Royal Roads University's main campus is 565 acres, with several walking, hiking, & bicycling routes set among lush nature. Hatley Castle, which has appeared in several television series & films, including Dead pool, X2 & X-Men, is also located there.

The four-story Learning & Innovation Centre, which opened in 2011, features 33 breakout classrooms, 7 classrooms, 5 computer laboratories with cutting-edge equipment, & various social areas. Another significant building on the RRU premises is the Sherman Building which has a social center, conference hall, educational facilities, and dorms. This building houses the Int. Study Centre has eleven classrooms, labs, teaching areas, offices, and a snack & coffee shop. A gym, weight room, workout studio, computer lab, cafeteria, swimming pool, boathouse & dock, tennis courts, and squash courts are among the other amenities on the campus.

ROYAL ROAD UNIVERSITY RANKINGS

  • Royal Road University ranked #44 all around Canada. It is because of its high level of facilities and academic excellence which is provided to students.
  • RRU, also with 55 other institutions, received ratings in certain areas in The Globe & Mail's Canadian Uni Report in 2008.

ROYAL ROAD UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIPS

  • R. Entrance Bursary/Award - The R.R. Entrance Award program honors potential students who've demonstrated achievement in 1 of university's major theme areas: education & technology, business, communication & culture, environment & sustainability, leadership studies, humanitarian studies, as well as tourism & hospitality. This fees award/bursary will be granted to students on a competitive approach, with a value ranging from $2,000 - $10,000 depending on the Awards Adjudication Board's judgment.
  • RRU Royal Scholarship - This is open to candidates from China & Taiwan who enroll in any U.G. or graduate program. Candidates with ambitions to promote improved communication between Canada & Asia and a strong academic track from a prior study are also chosen.
  • RRUSA Bursary - This award, offered to RRU's Student Associaton members, intends to alleviate the financial need for those who are more vulnerable & have compelling living conditions.
  • Minerva Foundation Bursary - The Minerva Foundation is devoted to funding scholarships to help single moms pay for education, childcare, and accommodation at B.C. institutions. The Minerva Foundation's charity & cooperation with Royal Roads University has resulted in this award for B.C. women looking to further their education.
  • R. Scholarship (outstanding children of Int. Alumni) - Overseas students who choose to further their study at RRU in Victoria, British Columbia, will be granted the R.R. Scholarship (Outstanding Children of Int. Alumni) through a contest. Each year, ten $2,000 prizes will be available to incoming undergrad students who demonstrate academic distinction in the Canadian school system.

HOW TO APPLY TO ROYAL ROADS UNIVERSITY?

The application at the Royal Roads University to undergraduate programs is fully online and is done twice once in spring and the other in the fall semester. Deadlines need to be met positively.

Each program has its own set of deadlines, so students should fill out their applications well ahead of time. When opting for a course, foreign students should consider that obtaining a study visa may take longer than expected. As a result, it is critical to verify that all of the necessary documentation is in order before starting the course.

App. Fees - $126.28 (UG, PG & Certificate) & $29.71 (General Studies)

  • To start the online application, create an account on RRU's official website with your e-mail address & log in to their application portal.
  • Choose the citizenship type once you've logged in.
  • After that, you'll be asked to fill out some security queries & answers.
  • Now, decide on the program you want to pursue.
  • After you've chosen your program, proceed to the 'Personal Info' section & fill out the basic information as well as your contact information.
  • Following that, in the 'Education History' area, you must enter information about your academic record.
  • Finally, you'll arrive at the 'Payment Section,' where you'll pay the needed fees.

NOTE (For Int. Students): Students should go to the Citizenship & Immigration Canada (CIC) site for the most up-to-date info on process timelines. It is strongly advised that applications be presented at least 6 months before the program's start. It ensures that candidates have given themselves enough time to get their CIC LOA (Letter of Acceptance).

ROYAL ROADS UNIVERSITY ELIGIBILITY

Royal Roads University's eligibility requirements are straightforward. Eligibility requirements differ depending on the course type, duration, and topic area. On the other hand, applicants from other countries are needed to provide extra documentation than local students.

Eligibility for UG

  • A least 'B' (73%) avg. in 4 academic grade 12 subjects from a renowned secondary school or equal.
  • A total TOEFL grade of 88, with at least 20 in each of the 4 sections (reading, writing, hearing, and speaking).
  • Total IELTS score of 6.5
  • PTE: 60 total, with a minimum of 58 in each section.
  • DET – 115 Overall

Eligibility for PG

  • Applicants applying should have at least a post-secondary GPA of 'B' (3.00 out of 4.33).
  • TOEFL: A total score of 100 is required, with at least 26 in writing & 23 in reading, listening, and speaking.
  • IELTS: 7.0 total, with a minimum of 6.5 in every four skills (speaking, writing, listening, and reading).
  • Overall score of 68 on the PTE with at least 60 in each section.
  • Some programs may require GRE/GMAT score.

ACCOMMODATION AT ROYAL ROAD UNIVERSITY

If you're at Royal Roads University for a short-term residence or a brief stay, you can remain on campus. Single rooms having private washrooms & single dorm rooms with communal washrooms are available at Royal Roads University. Students enrolled in full-time courses have to live off-campus for the duration of their studies. There are just 2 weeks of temporary university housing available.
