About Troy University

Located in Troy, Alabama, USA, Troy University was founded in the year 1887. The now university was initially founded as a normal school for the training of teachers. In the 1960s it became the 'Troy State College' which also gave it the right to grant Master Degrees. The university throughout time has had many names, it has its name changed from Troy State University to Troy University in 2004 after the Board of Trustees voted and accepted the proposal of the name change. Troy University has also produced many politicians, Groege Wallace Jr. being one of them. It was also one of the first universities to be introducing and conducting online courses for the sake of student's sake and to encourage students to learn more and acquire more skills. Throughout time, this university has worked to improve students and their experiences and has also worked towards better learning and creating better opportunities.

Troy University was founded on 26th February 1887 and is a public university located in Troy, Alabama, United States. Troy University is a part of and the flagship university of the Troy Univesity System. There are four campuses, all under one name and all in the state of Alabama. All these campuses are highly student-friendly and also, the merger of this university is a great source of job opportunities for many teachers and administrative staff as well. Confucius Institute is one distinct feature of the university which is in collaboration with Chinese Ministry of Education and was introduced in order to give students a better understanding of Chinese Culture.
