How to Apply to University of East London?

The University of East London gets applications from International students from all corners of the world. As there are various programs and courses offered by the University, it is, therefore, imperative that one remains aware of the application process well in advance to prevent last-minute hustles.

  • Firstly, research the various courses offered and understand the requirements for securing admission for your desired course. Once you have found a course that aligns with your interests, you can proceed with the application process.
  • All applications to the University of East London have to be made through the UCAS portal. The UCAS portal rates the academic performance of a student using a point system, and universities such as UEL use these points as the reference point to compare candidates.
  • Research about the course you are applying for to gauge the parameters you will be tested on when the interviews begin.
  • Once you have finalized the course and have all the documents and preparations ready, click apply on the UCAS website and use the unique UCAS institute code (ELOND) and code for UEL (E28) along with the code of the course you wish to apply for.
  • Provided that you have done your research, narrowed down the course, and started the application process. It is recommended that you send in your application by September for early processing or before January for the final deadline.
  • Lastly, you will have to wait for the status of your application which generally takes around two weeks or so and can take up to 5 weeks for International students.

Eligibility for UG

  • An overall average of nearly 60% is required at the high school level, and candidates must submit copies of their secondary school leaving certificate.
  • Candidates must have completed courses in Math Level 2 and any subject at a Level 3 at the high school level.
  • Students who are transferring from other institutes must have a good percentage in their current institute.
  • International students will have to submit proof of English proficiency in the form of TOEFL or IELTS test scores.
  • Candidates will also be required to submit their academic documents at the time of admission either as physical copies or electronically scanned copies.

Eligibility for PG

  • Students must have completed a Bachelor's degree at an accredited university with a minimum overall average of 50%.
  • International applicants whose mother tongue is non-English will be required to submit scores of English Proficiency Tests.
  • Students must submit a completed application form with a non-refundable application fee.
  • Letters of Intent, Letters of Recommendation, and all relevant documents must be submitted at the time of application.
  • Students who wish to apply for advance entry must have completed one or two years of study from a different accredited university.
  • Students can apply for Pre-Masters courses if they have an aggregate of 40% in a course offered by a recognized educational body.
