The Essex Blades, often known as the University of Essex, is a public research university in Colchester, Essex, England. University of Essex is one of the best in the UK for the Future of Europe partnership, chosen by the European Commission to promote student and staff mobility.

The University of Essex is divided into Colchester, Southend, and Loughton.

How to Apply to University of Essex?

Applications to the University of Essex can be made in two ways as follows:

University of Essex Eligibility

 The University of Essex has country-specific criteria. The following are the eligibility criteria for UG and PG programmes for Indian applicants.

Eligibility for UG

  • The majority of Bachelor's degree programmes would incorporate 60% of the top four themes from Indian high school diplomas. You won't need to take another English language exam if you earn a 70% in English from a CBSE or ICSE test board certification. Some courses have more stringent entry and admissions criteria than others.
  • IELTS: 6 and above (with a minimum of 5.5 in each section)
  • TOEFL: 76 and above

Eligibility for PG

  • The majority of PG courses would accept candidates with a Bachelor's degree with a 50% or 5.3/10 from a Band 1 or Band 2 institution and a 55 % or 5.8/10 from all other schools.
  • IELTS : 6.5 and above
