This is a public university that had its previous names as Woolwich Polytechnic and Thames Polytechnic. The University of Greenwich has three campuses situated in London and Kent. the campuses are as follows:

• Greenwich Campus: This campus is mainly located in the Old Royal Naval College. It moved in the 1990s when it was sold by the Royal Navy. This campus has a Business school and faculty Of liberal arts and sciences. This campus has a large library which is home to a large collection of books and journals that are useful for the students. It also has language labs, 300 computing labs. 
• Avery Hill Campus: This campus consists of 2 sites, Mansion and Southwood. Both the sites have their location in the 86 acre Avery Hill Park in the Royal Borough of Greenwich, South east London. • Medway Campus: The Medway Campus has its location in the former Royal Navy shorebase opened in the year 1903 in the Chatham Maritime, Kent. The campus houses the Faculty of Engineering and Science. The faculty of Education and Health provides a number of programs in the Medway. The facilities include workshops, laboratories, dispensary and so on.
