The University of Tennessee is now a public land-grant research institution in Knoxville, Tennessee. It is the main site of the University of Tennessee system, with 10 undergraduate schools and eleven graduate institutions, and was established in 1794, two years before Tennessee became the 16th state.   • The Global Ambassador Scholarship is awarded to incoming freshmen foreign students in Tennessee. To be considered for this award, you must have a minimum GPA of 3.0. Each semester, students must maintain a 3.0 GPA to continue earning the Global Ambassador Scholarship.

How to Apply to University of Tennessee?

You must first become a VIP to apply for the University of Tennessee (Vol-in-progress) program. Students may complete the Go Vols registration or the general application. The following is the procedure for completing the GO Vols form and applying for undergraduate and postgraduate courses:

Step 1: Open the Go Vols registration site by going to admissions.utk.edu/vip/ and clicking the 'Apply now' option.

Step 2: To register as a vol-in-progress, provide your name, email address, and birthday. After that, click 'proceed' and input the PIN that the university sent to you. Create a new password and register as a vol-in-progress in the following step.

Step 3: Select' start new application' and 'International Freshman' as your application type.

Step 4: The form now includes many parts that must be completed. Begin by describing your immigration status, family background, academic career, and other relevant characteristics.

Step 5: After paying the application fee, add your signature and double-check your Go Vol form before submitting it.

Step 6: Choose your curriculum and wait for Tennessee's clearance.

Eligibility for UG

  • To enrol in undergraduate courses, international students must have finished their education. Students will be required to produce valid high school and intermediate transcripts
  • International students are required to take an English proficiency exam and their studies. Students will be required to take an English proficiency exam since the University of Tennessee does not acknowledge India as an official English-speaking nation. Specific prerequisites, such as a Math assessment exam or other assessments, may be required for some undergraduate courses.

Eligibility for PG
