About University of the Pacific

The University of Pacific is a private university in Stockton, California. It is California’s oldest university. At the time of its inception 170 years ago in 1851, it became the only Methodist-affiliated university in the state of California. It also holds the honour of being California’s first coeducational university. The university was initially set up in Santa Clara, but it was later shifted to Stockton. The objective of the University of the Pacific is to deliver an outstanding, student-oriented educational experience.

University of the Pacific Campus

The University of Pacific has three campuses in total. These campuses are the Stockton campus, Sacramento campus, and San Francisco campus. These are spread across the north of California. The San Francisco Campus offers advanced data science, music therapy, and dentistry degrees. The Sacramento campus offers law courses, and health sciences, while the Stockton campus offers courses in business among other disciplines. The Stockton campus is the most beautiful campus of all three measuring over 175 acres.

University of the Pacific Students 

In Fall 2021, the University of the Pacific served a total of 6,066 students. Out of these 6,066 students, more than 4,000 students were studying at the Stockton campus, and the rest were studying at Sacramento and San Francisco campuses. University of the Pacific: Scholarships

The University of the Pacific aims to make education accessible to all qualified students through scholarships, grants, and student aid. 

  • Powell Scholarship/ Powell Scholars Program - This provides financial support to a student who has demonstrated academic excellence. The student must have a GPA of 3.7 in high school and have taken Honours/ AP courses.
  • Regents Scholarship - Regent's Scholarships are given to outstanding high school seniors who have been admitted as undergraduates.
  • Academic Distinguished Scholarship - Awarded to academically outstanding incoming transfer students who have enrolled in undergraduate courses.
  • International Student Merit Scholarship - International students who have graduated from a high school outside of the United States are eligible for the International Student Merit Scholarship.

At the University of the Pacific, there are plenty of opportunities to get committed, interact, and have a good time.   • Sacramento Campus - Silveracre, Whiteacre, Blackacre, Southacre are the student residences available at the Sacramento campus. These offer one or two-bedroom fully furnished suites. 
  • San Francisco Campus - The San Francisco campus offers housing in partnership with Panoramic Residences for students at the dental school.
