The University of Saskatchewan is one of the best research universities in Canada. With a special emphasis on applied research, it provides valuable research opportunities with high-quality education and training programs to over 25,700 students. It is one of the most culturally diverse institutions with students belonging to over 130 countries all over the world.

The University of Saskatchewan was founded on March 19, 1907, with its model being inspired by the American State University. The groundwork for the university was established by its first President – Walter Charles Murray (1908–37). Coming a long way from there, today, it is a public university with a global ranking of 439 and Canadian ranking of 16 to 18.

Being located on the east side of the South Saskatchewan River in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, it has a beautiful campus with lush green spaces spread over 642,000 square meters.

The University of Saskatchewan has a historic charm with tree-lined walkways that lead up to over 100 awe-inspiring greystone buildings.

The buildings are divided into 3 colleges, three graduate schools, and six affiliated or federated colleges. But what makes it special is the multitude of programs and facilities it provides for the development of its students.

To promote sports activities and give the athletes a chance to display and develop their talents, the university has over 150 sports teams covering almost every athletic event.
