UP Polytechnic 2020 Dates, Result, Exams, Fee, Colleges

Uttar Pradesh (UP) Polytechnic is a discipline of higher education under which several courses are being offered in the colleges of Uttar Pradesh. Admissions in the polytechnic colleges are taken through a state-level examination – JEECUP ( Joint Entrance Examination Council Uttar Pradesh ). The state government holds this examination under the Uttar Pradesh Board of Technical Education (UPBTE ). 

This examination is also known as UPJEE and is performed in different groups based on the type of diploma the candidate wants to pursue in the realm of Engineering, Medical, Agricultural Studies, etc. This examination is conducted every year for the admissions of thousands of students in Uttar Pradesh.

Groups in UPJEE

The groups in which this examination is taken are discussed below. 

Group A: For this group, the candidate has to have a thorough knowledge of her/his class 10th UP board syllabus, including subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

Group B: In this group, the candidate will have to go through two sections – the first section is of Mathematics, and the second section is of either Physics or Chemistry or Agricultural studies. 

Group C: This group demands some basic knowledge of high school education, in addition to the three sections – the first section consists of Hindi and English language comprehension, the second section is of Reasoning, and Intelligence and the last section is related to General awareness. 

Group D: It consists of mainly four sections, the first section is of Hindi and English language comprehension, the second section is Reasoning and Intelligence, the third section is comprised of Numerical Ability and the last section is General awareness. Besides, they can also ask questions related to your intermediate level of boards.

Group E: This group is comprised of two sections, the first section is Physics and Chemistry, and the second section is Mathematics or Biology based on the preference of the candidate. Questions under this section are also asked from the intermediate level.

Group F: It includes sections like Physics, Biology, and Botany, and this section exclusively consists of questions from the B.Sc. level. 

Group G: Under this group, the candidate is evaluated based on her/his graduation level academics. It consists of mainly five sections – the first section is English language comprehension, the second section belongs to Numerical Ability, the third section is of Reasoning, the fourth section is General Intelligence, and the last section is of General awareness.

Group H: It includes questions from class 12th level and widely categorized into five sections that are of Reasoning and Logical Discussion, Numerical Ability, Scientific Aptitude, English comprehension, and General Knowledge.

Group I: It is mainly focused on the two sections – first of Physics and Chemistry, and the second one is of Mathematics. Questions can also be asked covering the topics from class 10+2 UP board level.

Group K: This group comprises certain higher-level knowledge as it consists of two sections in which the first section is of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and the second section is of Engineering. You will also have to prepare from the syllabus of class 10th and 12th.

JEECUP UP Polytechnic Seat Allotment

Candidates shall be offered admission based on their choices, reservation, and State Open Rank of UPJEE (POLYTECHNIC)-2020 through a Seat Allocation Process to be announced later or when the results will be declared.

The candidates will have to make their choices online for branches and institutes. Students can check their results online which will contain their marks and status for appearing in the process of counseling.

UP Polytechnic –Important Dates

  1. Commencement of online applications: 1st January 2020
  2. Last date of application submission: 16th March 2020
  3. Availability of admit card: 2nd week in April 2020
  4. Examination date: 26th April ( Group A and E ); 27th April ( Group B to I and K )
  5. Results declaration: May 2020 3rd week
  6. Counseling dates: May or June 2020

UP Polytechnic –Fees Submission

Like the registration process, fees submission is also made solely online through Credit / Debit cards or via SBI E-Challan. 

For General and OBC categories, the fees are INR 300 plus some bank charges. For SC and ST categories, the fees are INR 200 in addition to the bank charges.

UP Polytechnic – Admit Card

Exam dates for this entrance have been announced recently by the state. The exam will be conducted on 12th for group A, E1, E2, and on 15th September for the groups B, C, D, F, G, H, I, K1, K2, K3, K4, K5, K6, K7, K8. Admit cards will be released 8 days before the exam. Students can download the admit cards through following the given steps:

  1. Go to the website www.jeecup.nic.in.
  2. Go to the Home page search and click on the JEECUP Admit Card Link.
  3. Then fill the information in the registration page
  4. After entering the details, JEECUP Admit Card will display on the screen.

UP Polytechnic Exam

Up polytechnic is a state-level exam. This exam is also known as JEECUP. It is an entrance exam organized by Joint Entrance Examination Council, Uttar Pradesh every year. The candidates who will qualify this exam will be given admission to various programs like pharmacy, technology, engineering, and other diplomas. Admissions to various Uttar Pradesh’s private and government colleges of polytechnic is done based on up polytechnic (JEECUP) score.

There is a total of 19 groups. These groups are divided on the bases of different courses. Students can appear for one group based on their preference of course. Exam dates for this entrance have been announced recently by the state. The exam will be conducted on 12th September 2020 for group A, E1, E2, and on 15th September 2020 for the groups B, C, D, F, G, H, I, K1, K2, K3, K4, K5, K6, K7, K8.

This exam will be in both English and Hindi mode. It will be a Pen and Paper/offline mode for Group A, E1 & E2, and online mode for Group B to I & K1 to K8. It will be an objective type exam consisting of a total of 100 questions. 3 hours will be provided for the same. For every correct answer, 4 marks will be given.1 mark deduction for 1 wrong answer.

UP Polytechnic – Syllabus

This exam will be in both English and Hindi mode. It will be a Pen and Paper/offline mode for Group A, E1 & E2, and online mode for Group B to I & K1 to K8. It will be an objective type exam consisting of a total of 100 questions.

3 hours will be provided for the same. For every correct answer, 4 marks will be given.1 mark deduction for 1 wrong answer. The syllabus details are as follows:

Group ‘A’10th syllabus of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects (UP board)
Group ‘B’ Syllabus: The exam will consist of two sections, the first section is of Mathematics while another section is of Physics or Chemistry or Agriculture.
Group ‘C’  Hindi and English Comprehension, General Awareness, Reasoning, and Intelligence. Apart from this, it also includes the questions from the 10th standard.
Group ‘D’ It includes the 12th class syllabus consisting of four sections: Hindi and English Comprehension, Reasoning and Intelligence, Numerical Ability, and General Awareness.
Group ‘E’ 10+2 syllabus: The Syllabus also includes the two sections of Physics and Chemistry, Biology or Mathematics.
Group ‘F’  Physics, Biology, and Botany.
Group ‘G’ Includes the following section:  English Comprehension, Numerical Ability, Reasoning, General Intelligence, and General Awareness.
Group ‘H’ 5 sections: Reasoning and Logical Discussion, Numerical Ability and Scientific Aptitude, English, and General Knowledge.

UP Polytechnic Result 2020

Exam dates for this entrance have been announced recently by the state. The exam will be conducted on 12th for group A, E1, E2, and on 15th September for the groups B, C, D, F, G, H, I, K1, K2, K3, K4, K5, K6, K7, K8.
