About Central Queensland University
Central Queensland University was founded in 1967 in Rockhampton as the Queensland Institute of Technology (QIT) Capricornia and received university status in 1992. It was renamed the University of Central Queensland the following year. The university changed its name to Central Queensland University in 1994. The University grew in size in 2008, and it became CQUniversity. Today, the university enrols over 30,000 students and is one of Australia's major rural universities. Central Queensland University Campus
