About Full Sail University

Full Sail University is a private for-profit university in Winter Park, Florida. It was established in 1979. When the university was founded it was a recording studio called Full Sail production in 1980. After some time the studio was shipped to Florida and started to offer various film making and video making courses. In 1989 it is formally shifted to Winter Park from the city of Dayton. The university is verified by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC). It was founded by Jon Phelps in Dayton, Ohio. The university had some financial issues in the year 1992 and its growth become slow between 1995 and 1999. In 2005 the University offered its first bachelor's program which was Bachelor of Science in the entertainment business. In 2007 University offered its first Masters's program which was also in the entertainment industry.

The university moved to winter park in 1989. The university campus is located in a 200 acre(81-hectare)  and 8.6 miles North East of Downtown Orlando. The campus has a sound stage which has 110 studios. The university offered its first teaching staff for the online degree program in 2009. In the year 2010 again Studio named blackmoor was introduced in honor of Dace Amenson who taught game design at the university from 1999 to 2008. Now the educational building of the university is constructed in the 86000 square foot area and has 475 faculty members who are in the field of education.
