Six months after graduation in 2012, the average employment rate for graduates of undergraduate degree
programs at Lakehead University was 89.3%, which was higher than the 87.6% average for the Ontario
university system. Two years after graduation in 2012, the average employment rate for graduates of undergraduate degree programs at Lakehead University was 94.4% which was higher than the 93.6% for the Ontario university system.
A survey of students who graduated from an Ontario university undergraduate degree program was recently
conducted to provide insight into undergraduate students’ employment situations six months and two years after
graduation. Of the 1902 graduates of Lakehead University who were contacted and invited to complete the survey, 951 returned completed surveys for a response rate of 50% The response rate for Lakehead University graduates was higher than that of the Ontario university system (35.1%) where 28,448 of the 81,061 graduates who were surveyed responded.
