Documents Required
For Graduate admissions, the documents depend on the stream you are choosing. However, the general list of documents required for both graduate and undergraduate studies are:
- An essay and a LOR
- Official transcripts translated to English from all schools you’ve attended
- English Proficiency Exam's scorecards.
- A financial guarantee (bank statement),
- A copy of passport biographical information page
- And $200 enrollment deposit will be required prior to issuing a visa application support document
Student Life
Pacific Lutheran University gives an experience for students which lasts for a lifetime. The college experience is about getting involved. No other time in our lives are we saturated with so many diverse ideas, perspectives, lifestyles, and goals. It has a large number of clubs and organizations. Approximately half of the enrolled students reside on the campus. The University has a news and jazz format national public radio called KPLU-FM (88.5 MHz). The Mast is PLU's student-run newspaper. It has its own Sports team for playing various sports and many music bands and orchestra. PLU students are active and involved–in the residence halls; on athletic fields, courts and in the stands; on the stage and in the audience for performing arts; and in scores of campus clubs.
International Students
5 per cent of the students studying here are international students representing 26 countries. They can also be a part of any club according to their interests. To help the international students, the University also has an International Student Services (ISS) which is committed to providing programs and services to support the academic and personal development of international students.
Accommodation
- Students, less than 20 years of age are required to live on campus.
- There are ten residence halls at PLU, with six located on upper campus and four located on lower campus.
- Approximately, half of the students enrolled in the University reside on the campus.
- There is also arrangement for International students to stay on the campus if they are unable to travel home during the winter or summer breaks.

- Hike, climb or ski on the Washinton's tallest mountain - Mount Rainer which is closest to the campus.
- The campus is also really close to Puget Sound where you can dive or sail on a boat.
- Feel the nature while being in the Snoqualmie Pass which is Northeast of PLU.
- Get your outdoor adventure at Point Defiance Park where you can go biking or running on Five Mile Drive, hike the park’s many trails, walk along Owen Beach and enjoy many other things as well.
