University Of New South Wales Facts
The University of South Wales is leading in the research and science area internationally. It was established in the year 1949 and has a global span of around 50,000 students and a large alumni community. They have a close partnership with the government and other organisations as well which enables the student to have a major breakthrough. It is an open research university with an objective to achieve the best education.
- It has two colleges’ i.e. one in new castle and other in Wollongong. The main campus is located at Kennington and has two main research centres. They have faculties dedicated to all branches of studies i.e. science, medical & research as well.
- They even have movie halls, music rooms etc which are not only available to students but to the general public as well. They offer all stages of degree i.e. undergraduate, postgraduate and doctorate studies. It has been divided into various faculties of study i.e. faculty of law, faculty of engineering and soon.
- Students get to choose their subjects according to their area of interest. The faculties over there make sure student gets the required practical exposure they needed to achieve their perspective.
- They have alumni all over the world, some famous alumni will be Bob Bellear (First indigenous judge), Mark Bouris (CEO of Yellow Brick Road), John M. Green (Publisher, writer, director), Dr. Matthew Miles (CEO of MS Research Australia), Mehdi Ghazazanfari (Minister of Commerce, Iran), Usman Khwaja (Cricketer), Karl Kruszelnicki (media presenter and scientist), Robert McClelland (Former Attorney-General of Australia) and Scott Morrison (Prime Minister of Australia).
