A wide array of media and technology that can reach a diverse and large audience via mass communication is known as mass media. Mass media occurs through a variety of outlets.

The primary method of communication to reach a vast majority of the general public is through mass media. Some of the most common platforms are the internet, magazines, newspapers, television and last but not the least, radio. The public generally depends upon the various mass media platforms to obtain information on various topics such as social issues, entertainment, political issues, and news in pop culture.

Films, Radio, Recorded music, television, etc. are some of the methods through which broadcast media transmit information electronically to the general public. Eligibility criteria for Mass Media courses

The eligibility criteria for the undergraduate and postgraduate courses vary depending upon the institutions. The basic criteria are as follows: –

  1. UG Courses: All candidates should have a graduation certificate from 12th grade in any stream from a recognized board with a minimum percentage of 50% – 60%. The candidates should also be a minimum of 17 years of age at the time of admission.
  2. PG Courses: All candidates should have a graduation certificate in any course from a recognized university with a minimum percentage of 50% – 60%. The candidates should also be a minimum of 23 years of age or more at the time of admission.
