Established in the year 2005, eLitmus Evaluation Private Limited is an Indian employment firm, that helps leading companies in hiring employees for entry-level jobs. It was founded by former employees of Infosys. eLitmus has its own Exam, known under the name of the
eLitmus Ph Test. Elitmus Ph test is designed to test the candidate’s natural talent and abilities.

PH Test is one of the popular exams among freshers who are seeking jobs in the field of Informatics industry. Major companies, such as Accenture, Collabera, McAfee, and International Business Machines (IBM) hire their employees through the pH test conducted by eLitmus.

What is the pH Test?

eLitmus Exam

Commonly known as the Elitmus exam, Ph exam is a written exam (formerly online), that tries to put on test abilities such as Aptitude, Decision making, Time Management, relational thinking, simplification, etc.

The exam duration is 2 hours in duration, and the exam comprises 3 sections:Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, Verbal Ability. Results are available in 2 formats: percentile score and total score. According to the creators of the test, the Elitmus exam is prejudiced towards candidates with good understanding and strong foundations of their work. eLitmus Application Process

eLitmus Application process is as follows:

  1. The registration process begins by logging on to the eLitmus website (www.elitmus.com) by using an email ID or Google account.
  2. A profile activation link will be sent to the email once the details have been submitted.
  3. The Candidate must visit the link sent to their email id, in order to complete the account authentication process.
  4. After the above process, the candidate is redirected to the dashboard where the candidate is required to provide further details in order to complete the profile creation process.
  5. These details could be categorized under 5 sections:general details, education details, work experience related details, details about the skills and credential submission.

Credential Submission (Document Verification) For eLitmus Exam

It is mandatory for the candidates to get their documents attested, on the day of examination or before the eLitmus exam begins. If a candidate fails to do so, he/she would not be allowed to sit for the exam.

Documents required for verification, before the exam are:

  • Original Completion Certificate for Class 10 (or report card)
  • Original Completion Certificate for Class 12 with Report card
  • Any original government photo identity card- Aadhar card, PAN card, Passport, Driving License, Voter ID etc.,
  • eLitmus admit card with a passport size photo pasted on it.

Is eLitmus good for freshers?

What is a good score in Elitmus?

What is the eLitmus test?

Ans. eLitmus test, commonly referred to as Ph Test is an assessment test conducted by eLitmus to evaluate candidates that are suitable for recruitment. The test comprises 3 sections. The questions in each section are objective in nature with multiple choices and are of varying difficulty levels. The companies consider the marks obtained in the Elitmus test in their hiring process.

What is the fee for the eLitmus exam?

Ans. The fee for the eLitmus exam is Rs. 920. Candidates can either pay in cash (accepted at Elitmus Bangalore office only) or through DD or by online payment. 

Is there negative marking in the eLitmus test?

Ans. Yes, negative marking is used in Elitmus Exam. But there is a clause that needs to be true in order for the negative marking to be applicable, if more than 25% of the questions attempted by the candidate are wrong, then negative marking is applicable.

How hard is the Elitmus exam?

Ans. Elitmus Exam is one of the hardest exams in the market. Only 10% of the total questions can be considered of easy level. The questions in the exam require in-depth and high fundamental knowledge of the disciplines. Students who rely on immediate preparation don’t perform well in this exam. 

When is the Elitmus result declared?

Ans. It takes a maximum of 18 working days in order to declare results. But on certain occasions, it can take upto 20 days to announce the result.  If any important mass recruitment is happening from companies like Mind-tree or Accenture the result is declared earlier than the expected time (usually within a week).

What are the best books and study material for eLitmus pH test preparation?

Ans. Elitmus Ph test doesn’t have any renowned books dedicated to cracking the exam, but since the exam follows subjects that are found in the CAT examination, most of the books used for preparing for CAT examination could be used for preparing for the Elitmus Ph test.
