However one needs to show a block account of 10,400 Euro for visa application.

Block Account: A student deposits around 10,400 euros in one of the German banks directly (Deutsche Bank, Kotak Mahindra, or ICICI) or through third parties like Fintiba, Coracle, or Expatrio. Once you deposit the amount you can’t withdraw (if you get the visa rejection then it’s transferred back to you (reach AdmitKard for 100% VISA success rate)). Once you arrived in Germany you will get back 861 Euro/month for 12 months in which you can take care of yourself. The amount will vary from city to city for a month.
