2. Inlaks Scholarships

The Inlaks Scholarships are given to Indian students who want to study at the best universities in Europe, the United Kingdom, and the United States. The Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation has partnered with Imperial College London, Royal College of Art (London), School of Oriental and African Studies (London), University of Cambridge, and Sciences Po (Paris) to offer scholarship programs. 

Eligibility criteria: 

  • All Indian citizens who have lived in India for at least six months previous to the application deadline are eligible for the Inlaks Shivdasani Scholarship.
  • Candidates who are Indian citizens who have earned an undergraduate degree from a recognized institution outside of India that meets our academic standards must have lived, worked, or studied in India for at least two years previous to applying.
  • Candidates with a postgraduate degree from an international university are ineligible to apply.

Grant amount: 100,000 USD

3. Ritchie-Jennings Memorial Scholarship

The Ritchie-Jennings Memorial Scholarship is one of the most well-known and coveted prizes for young and ambitious Certified Fraud Examiners. In 1997, two distinguished Certified Fraud Examiners, Tracy Ritchie, and Larry Jennings were slain in a terrorist attack in Pakistan, and this award was established in their honor. The Ritchie-Jennings Memorial Scholarship provides facilities and incentives to help you pursue a career as a CFE.

Eligibility Criteria: 

  • Applicants must be currently enrolled in an accredited four-year institution or university for the academic year 2022-2023.
  • When applying, undergraduate students must be enrolled in at least 9 semester hours (or equivalent) per term and in the second half of their sophomore year.

Grant amount:

Per-student scholarship limit: USD 10,000.

4. Shastri Indo-Canadian Fellowships

Indian university students are awarded Shastri Indo-Canadian Fellowships for Indian Scholars to conduct research in Canada. The Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute is accepting applications for the Shastri Research Student Fellowship (SRSF) for Bachelor’s, Masters, M. Phil, Doctoral, and post-doctoral researchers participating in degree programs at accredited Indian and Canadian colleges or institutions.

Eligibility criteria:

  • The applicant must be from a Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute member institution or a constituent college/institute of its membership that is part of the Shastri network.
  • The applicant’s grade point average should be at least 65 percent.
  • The applicant should not be pursuing another degree or diploma at the same time.

Grant amount: Each month, the Fellowship Award ranges from 1100 (INR 66120) to 1300 (INR 78140) CAD. This scheme awards between three and four honors each year.

5. The Oxford and Cambridge Society of India Scholarship

The Oxford and Cambridge Society of India is a non-profit organization established in New Delhi that is operated jointly by graduates of the universities of Oxford and Cambridge. The organization’s goal is to grant scholarships to students interested in studying at the premier universities of Oxford and Cambridge. Select undergraduate, graduate, and research courses that are eligible for the grant. 

Eligibility criteria:

  • If applying for a second undergraduate or postgraduate program, you must be a graduate of an Indian institution (applicants who are likely to graduate in the year of the award are also eligible), or you must be from an Indian school if applying for an undergraduate course.

Grant amount: 2 lacs INR

6. JN Tata Endowment Scholarship

In 1892, the JN Tata Endowment Scholarship for higher education was created. The JN Tata Endowment Loan Scholarship helps Indian students who want to study abroad for postgraduate, undergraduate, postdoctoral or research degrees. Eligibility Criteria:

  • Candidates must be Indian citizens, under the age of 45 as of June 30, 2022, and graduates of a recognized Indian university with a minimum grade point average of 60% in their undergraduate or post-graduate studies.

Grant amount: 10 lakhs INR

7. Commonwealth Scholarship

At the inaugural Commonwealth education conference in 1959, the Commonwealth scholarship was founded. The fellowship is given to students from the 53 Commonwealth countries who aim to study for a master’s or Ph.D. in the United Kingdom. Every year, the CSC awards 800 scholarships to students.

Eligibility criteria:

  • You must be a citizen or permanent resident of a Commonwealth country to apply for a Commonwealth Scholarship. If you are a refugee or a British-protected person, you will still be eligible.

Grant amount: Covers tuition fees

8. MEXT Scholarship for Japan

The Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), in collaboration with the Indian Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), offers Indian students a variety of scholarships to pursue undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral studies at various Japanese universities. Eligibility Criteria:

Grant amount: If you are awarded the MEXT Scholarship, you will be paid 120,000 yen a month as an undergraduate student. Japanese Intensive Course students and research students receive a monthly stipend of 146,000 yen.

9. Chevening Scholarship

Chevening Scholarships are available to students from all over the world who wish to study in the United Kingdom as part of a government-sponsored scholarship program. This scholarship allows outstanding students from all over the world to study in the United Kingdom. Students who qualify for this award can apply to any UK university for a one-year postgraduate degree in any topic.

 Fulbright-Nehru Doctoral Research Fellowships

Indians who apply for this scholarship to study in the United States must be enrolled in a Ph.D. program at an Indian university. The planned Ph.D. thesis submission date should not be sooner than three months after the Fulbright Nehru grant expiration date, as this scholarship is intended for Indian Ph.D. students to perform research important to their dissertations/theses. An applicant must upload a copy of a published/presented article or extracts from a Master’s/M.Phil. thesis to the online application form.

Great Wall Program

Students from underdeveloped countries who desire to study or conduct research in China are eligible for this award. The Chinese Ministry of Education formed it to help UNESCO finance students and intellectuals.

National Overseas Scholarship Scheme by the Indian Government
