The University of Auckland, which first opened its doors in 1883, is often considered New Zealand’s leading university in terms of graduate employability. University of Auckland has almost 40,000 students enrolled across its five campuses, with over 10,000 graduating each year.

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science

A bachelor’s degree in computer science provides you with knowledge of the fundamental construction blocks of computers, software, and computer-to-computer interactions. Students will acquire logical reasoning, problem-solving, abstract reasoning, and analytical abilities as part of this degree, which companies highly appreciate.

Master of Management

  • There is no mention of a Bachelor’s threshold.
  • Applicants must have a first-class division bachelor’s degree in business or a non-business bachelor’s degree in a related subject such as arts, engineering, technology, or science from a recognized university (or equivalent institution).
  • In the most advanced courses undertaken, applicants must have a GPE of 5.0.
  • If candidates have taken the advanced course(s) in an undergraduate degree that is significantly comparable to the courses in this program, a replacement course will be needed.
  • To be accepted into this program, applicants can have little or no job experience.

The PhD is the maximum degree level you may get and is an internationally recognized postgraduate research degree.

The University of Auckland Foreign Student Scholarships were created in 2016 to help new international students of outstanding calibre enrol in one-year or longer undergraduate or postgraduate taught studies.

A scholarship of up to NZ$10,000 is available to high-achieving undergraduate students who have received an unconditional offer to any undergraduate course at the University of Auckland.

Postgraduate students who have received an unconditional offer of 120 points or more for a taught postgraduate course are qualified to participate in a scholarship of up to NZ$10,000.

University of Auckland Accommodation

On-campus accommodation

All students, both undergraduate and graduate, have access to housing at the university’s catered and self-catered residential halls. UG first-year students have access to five catered halls at the university. Other students will live in self-catered residential halls, which are only accessible to undergraduate and postgraduate students (not first-year high school graduates). A bed, wardrobe, desk, chair, noticeboard, bookcase, and towel rail are included in every room. The weekly price covers meals, power, water, university internet, and laundry.

Off-campus Accommodation

The typical monthly rent is between 900 and 1000 AUD/month. A large, open-plan kitchen with electric burners and gas hobs is included in the student housing. In most of the units, there is also on-site laundry as well as bike storage. In most flats, there is also a gym and an exercise space.
