Arkansas State University is a public research university that was founded in 1909. In terms of enrolment, it is Arkansas' second largest university. The main campus of Arkansas State University is in Jonesboro, Arkansas. The Arkansas State University at Paragould is an instructional site of the Jonesboro campus. As of 2019, Arkansas State University had an endowment of $84.43 million. It is the homeplace for the state's first osteopathic medical school, NYIT's College of Osteopathic Medicine, and also the first U.S.-style residential campus in Mexico, which opened in autumn 2017, and is considering establishing the state's first college of veterinary medicine.
The university's colours are scarlet, black, and white, and they are known as the Red Wolves. Their mascots are Howl and Scarlet.
