About Cardiff Metropolitan University

Cardiff Metropolitan University was originally founded in 1865 as a public university. This university, previously known as the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff. It provides degrees in a variety of fields, including business, economics, arts, fashion, communications, and law. In 1976, the university's four institutions combined to establish the Cardiff Institute of Higher Education. Furthermore, after ending its association with the University of Wales in 2011, it was given its current name.

The university has worked with a number of international institutions to build a global character. The institutes namely, Arab Academy of Science and Technology, the Beacon International College, and the City Unity College are among these institutions.

Cardiff Metropolitan University Campus

The Cyncoed Campus, the Llandaff Campus, and the Plas Gwyn Residential Campus are the three campuses of this university. The Cyncoed Campus is a vibrant campus that provides students with excellent sporting facilities. It also serves as the headquarters for the Students' and Athletics Union. The Llandaff Campus has good sporting facilities, a student union, an on-campus shop, Costa and Starbucks coffee shops, and a refectory. The school is about two miles from the city center and is surrounded by parks, playing fields, and the old village of Llandaff. How to apply in the Cardiff Metropolitan University

Although there is no Application fee for both Undergraduate and Postgraduate admissions for international students at Cardiff Metropolitan University, students need to submit all the required documents along with English proficiency level exams scores. The application portal for both Undergraduate and Postgraduate admissions is the same for applying to University. In addition, international students who want to apply for Undergraduate courses at Cardiff Metropolitan University can also apply through the UCAS portal, for this, they need to pay the application fee as stated in the guidelines.

Along with this, international students can directly apply for University through student Application forms. However, international students who want to apply for Cardiff School of Art and Sciences for Postgraduate courses can apply through the UCAS portal but they need to fill in an additional application form.

Eligibility

  • Students who want to join in Undergraduate courses, need to submit a higher secondary school certificate of grade 10 or grade 12 with good marks.
  • In addition, they can also submit a polytechnic or college of Technology Diploma course certificate with good marks to the University.
  • However, students who have good English scores at 10th or 12th grade are exempted from attending the English level exams.
  • The SAT score of 1100 and the ACT score of 23 or above are required.
  • Along with these, a GPA should be 2.8 or more is required.

Eligibility criteria for Postgraduate students: 

  • Students need to provide Bachelors's degree with a minimum of 3 years duration in a specified field with good marks.
  • A minimum of 4 to 5 years of work experience is needed to join the Postgraduate courses at Cardiff Metropolitan University except for Masters in Human Resource Management.
  • Along with these, they need to provide the English proficiency level scores with the minimum scores required by the University.
  • In addition, a GMAT score of 590 and the GRE score is also required.

Eligibility Criteria for Ph.D.: 

  • Students should pass IELTS with a score of 6.5 or above and a TOEFL score of 95.
  • A Masters's degree with 2 years of Part-time work experience or 1-year of full-time work experience is mandatory.
  • In addition, students need to submit their research proposal with a description of 1000 words is required.
  • They also need to submit the Scores of PTE with a score of 61 or above and the CAE with an average score of 176 is required.
