North Island College (NIC), is a Public Post-secondary community college located on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. Since its inception in 1975, as a distance education institution, North Island College has evolved into a proper post-secondary institution offering a variety of academic and career-training courses.
Humanities, Science, Business, Hospitality Management, Fine Arts are some of the disciplines under which the college offers courses. The college is committed to offering cost-effective and premium education to all its students. 

North Island College Campus

Students are served by the institution through four campuses and a learning centre, along with online and in-community learning. Campbell River, Port Alberni, Comox Valley, and Port Hardy and Ucluelet learning centre are the campuses and learning centres of the North Island College.
The Campbell River campus shares its campus with Tinderline Secondary, and the Comox Valley Campus is near the Comox Valley Hospital. The Port Alberni campus and Port Hardy campuses are easy to access just like the other campuses of the college.

Every year, the NIC (North Island College) Foundation offers hundreds of scholarships. New, continuing, or graduate students are eligible. 

  • Advanced Marine Power Ltd and North Island Cruisers Bursary - This bursary was thoughtfully established to assist students enrolled in any of the North Island College's trades and technical programs by offering them $500.
  • Alberni Valley Lions Club Bursary - This $1,000 award is only given to people who reside in Port Alberni. The recipient must have a good academic status as well as a confirmed financial necessity.
  • Alberni-Clayoquot Innovation Society Bursary - This entrance award worth $1,520 is provided to students enrolling full-time in any program in the Port Alberni campus of North Island College. 
  • Andrea W Rowe Entrance Bursary - The Andrew W Rowe Entrance bursary was created to support female students starting their education at North Island College. It offers $1,000 to a female student in need.

How to apply to North Island College?

Domestic and international students must carefully follow all the steps of the admission procedure for applying to North Island College. Here is the admission process for applying to the college for international students.

  • The first step is to choose a program and check whether you are eligible for applying to it. Do not forget to check the deadlines for applying. 
  • Next, you need to visit the Education Planner BC portal to fill the application form and pay the application fee. 
  • After paying the application fee, submit the supporting documents. These may be academic transcripts, English language test results, etc. 
  • Post this, you need to track your application. Once you receive the acceptance letter you need to pay the tuition fees and apply for the study permit.

Eligibility
