CG-VYAPAM

CG-VYAPAM stands for Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board. The head office is situated in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, India. It is basically a government agency and also an autonomous higher education institute, which conducts various tests for admission in professional courses & streams.

This agency or rather it is called, the government examination board was established in 2005. It is also taking recruitment exams for filling up various posts under the state government. Some important examinations under this board are CG-PET, CG-PPT, CG- PPHT, CG-PAT, CG-BAMS, CG- Pre MCA, CG- Pre B.A B.ED, and Pre B.SC B.ED.

The first one, CG- PET is the pre Engineering test, conducted by this board. Bypassing this exam students can be pursuing his/her career in engineering and agriculture under the colleges in Chhattisgarh at the undergraduate level.

It will be a 3 hours examination to solve 150 questions. Physics, chemistry, and math are the subjects of this exam. There will be no negative marking in this exam and each and every question, the correct marks is 1. Every three subjects consist of fifty marks each. Basically, the syllabus of this exam is class 11 and 12 level physics, chemistry, math. Although some extra part for each subject, included in this syllabus.

The seat reservation under these exams is: In private institutes, 70 seats are from their own state, 10 are from other states, 15 are from migrating quota. In the Kirodimal Institute of Technology, Raigarh 80 seats are from its own state, 10 seats from other states, and 10 seats from migrating quota. In the Institute of Technology, Korba 75 seats are from their own state, 10 seats are from other states, and 15 seats from the migrating quota.

In government institutes and universities, 100 seats are from their own state and not specified for other states and migrating quota. In minority institutes, there are 50 seats from their own state and 50 seats from migrating quota, but not specified for other states. There are all the details for this exam.

The second one, CG-PPT is the state level polytechnic exam conducted by CGPEB. To pursue a career in polytechnic courses, candidates should pass this exam. The syllabus of this exam is the class 10th syllabus of mathematics, computer science, and science subjects. The mode of this exam is offline. 35 question of each subject and total marks is 150. No negative marking & gain one marks for every correct answer.

The criteria for appearing in this exam are a minimum of 35% marks with aggregate in 10th exam for general category and 5% relaxation for reserved category and candidates should pass separately in math and science subjects. The upper age limit of this exam is 30 for the unreserved category, 35 for unreserved with PWD,33 for SC/ST/OBC and 33 for female candidates. The language of this exam is English and Hindi.

The third one, CG-PPHT or Chhattisgarh pre-pharmacy test is the state level entrance exam for pursuing a career in B.PHARM, D.PHARM, and BIOTECHNOLOGY courses in state institutes in Chhattisgarh. To appearing this exam students should get 45% with aggregate marks in PCBM for general category & 40% marks for SC/ST/OBC.

The upper age limit is 30  for the general category and 35 for the PWD category. For SC, ST, OBC the age limit is 33 years and 33 years for female candidates. The mode of this exam is offline. 50 questions from each of the PCBM subjects and a total of 150 marks. The questions came from the 12th syllabus of physics, chemistry, biology & mathematics. For B.PHARM, D.PHARM & BIOTECHNOLOGY the merit list will be published on the basis of 12th marks& the marks in CG-PPHT. No negative marks  and for every correct answer students will get 1 mark. The seat reservation under this exam is: In the private institute, 75 seats are from own state, 10 are from another state, 15 are from migrating quota.

In the Kirodimal Institute of Technology, Raigarh 80 seats are from its own state, 10 seats from other states, and 10 seats from migrating quota. In the Institute of technology, Korba 75 seats are from its own state, 10 seats are another state, 15 seats from migrating quota. In government institute and university 100 seats are from own state and not specified for other states and migrating quota. In a minority institute, there are 50 seats from its own state and 50 seats from migrating quota, but not specified for another state.

Lastly, The Fourth one CG-PAT is the Chhattisgarh pre-agricultural test. TO pursuing his/her career in  Agriculture or horticulture colleges in Chhattisgarh, students should pass it. Students, who have cleared 12th exam & resident of Chhattisgarh state, would fulfill the criteria. Basically, there are two groups for this exam:

For agricultural groups, the subjects are

  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Mathematics

And for the horticulture group, the subjects are

  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Biology

There will be no negative marking in this exam & 1 mark for every correct answer. The total marks are 200 and the duration is 3 hours. The syllabus of these exams is 12th level physics, chemistry, maths, and biology. This is all about the four popular exams conducted by CG-VYAPAM. Apart from this, there are many exams that are conducted by CG-VYAPAM. Actually, CG-VYAPAM is the longest examination body & falls under the directorate of technical details.
