About University of Windsor
The university was established in 1963. It has its roots dated back to 1857 and the university was called as Assumption College. There are more than 15,000 students studying in this university. The university also leads two legal clinics called Legal Aid Ontario and Community Legal Aid.
University of Windsor Campus
The university’s campus spreads across 51 hectares and is located between a residential neighborhood. The campus is large and incorporates four resistance halls on its main campus. There is a small arboretum in the campus, which showcases most of the Carolinian forest species. The campus is approximately a 10-minute drive from downtown Windsor.
University of Windsor Rankings
The university holds the rank of 651 in the QS World ranking. It’s Global rank usually fluctuates between 601-800 in the Times List. The National Rank of the University of Windsor is 28 and 952 in the World Ranking by Centre for World University Rankings.
University of Windsor Acceptance Rate
The University’s acceptance rate currently includes 12426 enrolled students, while several of them are still in the application process or yet to apply. The admission rate in the University is 60-70% which makes this University slightly selective.
University of Windsor Students
The university houses a family of 16321 students including both Part-time and Full-time students from 70 different regions every year. Twelve thousand of the population are part/full time & 3000 are undergraduates. More than 23% of the students are international students coming from across 100 countries.
University of Windsor Faculty
The faculty comprises of 524 professionals; the student/ faculty ratio remains 26:1. There are nine faculties in total made for a variety of courses. Some Faculties are a part of smaller academic departments, where students have an opportunity to work closely with the group of professors and fellow classmates.

Amongst a multitude of awards, the university is acknowledged and awarded the American Concrete Institute (ACI) award for its university student activities in 2015.
