Rajasthan Pre-Teacher Education Test, also known as Rajasthan PTET, is an examination that is conducted in May 2020. The official conducting authority of this examination is the Government Dungar College Bikaner. This exam is popular, and the cut-off for this exam is generally high according to different categories, as stated by the Government of Rajasthan.

This examination will be taken by over a hundred thousand candidates in 2020. PTET examination is taken by the students who want to take Pre-B. A. B. Ed. or B SC – B. Ed. Test and want admission in the universities eligible to take the admissions of PTET examination.

PTET Exam 2020

The Rajasthan Government conducts the PTET 2020 exam and the questions paper consists of 200 questions split into four sections. The first section is a mental ability test, the second category is the aptitude test, the third one is the General Knowledge Test, and the fourth one is English or Hindi test, meaning language proficiency test. The syllabus is meticulously formed such that it can test candidates and decide upon who are fit to be good teachers to build the future generations of the nation.

PTET 2020 Eligibility Criteria

Students who have completed graduation and secured a minimum score of 50% are eligible creteria to apply for B.Ed/BA courses through PTET. Candidates who have completed class XII and secured a minimum score of 50% are eligible to apply for the pre- B.Ed /B.Sc/BA courses.

Students appearing in the eligibility examination of PTET this year should check their marks and compare them with the cut-offs provided on the website. To participate in his counseling, the registration for the qualifying examination should be completed before the last date of the counseling.

Eligibility criteria of PTET Rajasthan consist of:

  1. Candidate should be an Indian Citizen.
  2. Candidates should pass Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2) from a recognized Board of India.
  3. A minimum aggregate of 50% marks in their graduation exam is compulsory.
  4. Students who belong to the reserved category need to have a minimum aggregate of 45% in their graduation exam.
  5. Candidates for PTET 2020 must be 21 years of age.
  6. Candidates meeting the minimum eligibility criteria are eligible to apply for the examination. 
  7. The criteria for various categories are: –
  8. 50 percent marks for the general category
  9. 45 percent marks for the scheduled caste, scheduled tribe, other backward classes

PTET Rajasthan 

PTET Rajasthan is an offline Pen and paper-based written examination. This paper contains 200 Multiple Choice-type Questions with each MCQ carrying having a weightage of three marks each, making the total to 600 and the exam is free from negative marking.

Some basic information related to PTET 2019 is:

  1. Rajasthan PTET admits cards will be issued on the official website.
  2. Candidates can download the admit cards from the official website once they enter their date of birth and the registration number in the required fields. 
  3. It is required that the students carry their admit cards on the day of the exam.
  4. Students won’t be permitted to be allowed entry in the exam hall without a valid admit card.
  5. The rules clearly state that no offline mode of application will be acceptable.

PTET 2020 Application Process

PTET examination application form for 2020 is already out online from January. It is downloadable from the official website https://ptet.in/. The test is conducted by Dugar Government College in Bikaner, Rajasthan. The exam is scheduled in May 2020.

A payment of Rs. 500/- is to be made towards the application fees. Following the submission of the application, the PTET admit card needs to be downloaded, which mentions details such as exam date, time, center for examination, and its address. The candidate needs to then appear for the PTET exam at their allotted center.

Online tests can also be given. The exam contains 200 questions in objective type within 3 hours duration, and the entire exam is evaluated for 600 marks. The results of the written exam can be checked on the official PTET website. The qualifying students out of this exam appear for the counseling round, where students are allowed to select the course of their choice according to a first-come, first-serve basis based on their ranks and scores.

The results mark sheet of the successful candidates will be released by DCB PTET Department on the PTET Result Website http://www.PTET2019.org/

PTET Result 2020

Results of the Rajasthan PTET for the courses of the Pre-B. ED  2-year course, B. A-B.Ed. and B.Sc.- B. Ed 4-year integrated course is expected to be released on 25-05-2020 by DungarCollege Bikaner.
