Punjab Scholarship 2020

The Punjab scholarship is specially designed for students who cannot afford the high fees and need financial help.  The scholarship also aims to promote top-quality education to SC/ST/OBC students who cannot afford or maybe not able to enroll themselves in the institutions.

The Punjab scholarship also conducts state level Punjab scholarship exams, with that the Punjab government participates in scholarship programs such as NTSE and NMMS. To apply for the scholarship visit punjabscholarships.gov.in

Eligibility for Punjab Scholarship

The Eligibility of Different Students under the Punjab Scholarship are:

1. Post Matric Scholarship for SC Students, Punjab:

Students from the post-secondary level i.e Class 11 to Ph.D. can apply for Punjab Scholarship. The family’s annual salary should not be more than  Rs. 2.50 Lakh.

2. Post Matric Scholarship for OBC Students, Punjab:

Students from the post-secondary level i.e Class 11 to Ph.D. can apply for this scholarship. The family’s annual salary should not be more than  Rs. 2.50 Lakh.

3. Post-Matric Scholarship for Minorities, Punjab

Under Minorities comes Sikhs, Parsis, Christians, Muslims, Jains, and Buddhists. Students from the post-secondary level i.e Class 11(from government or private school) to Ph.D. can apply for Punjab Scholarship. The students must have scored a minimum of 50% marks in the last exam. The family’s annual salary must not be more than Rs. 1 lakh.

4. Pre-Matric Scholarship for SC Students, Punjab

Students from class 9 and 10 can enroll for this scholarship. The family’s annual salary should not be more than Rs. 2.5 Lakh. If the student has applied for any other scholarship, they cannot apply for this scholarship.

5. Pre-Matric Scholarship for OBC Students, Punjab

Students from class 1 to 10 can enroll for this scholarship. The annual salary of the family should not be more than Rs. 50,000.

6. Pre-Matric Scholarship for Minorities, Punjab

Under Minorities comes Sikhs, Parsis, Christians, Muslims, Jains, and Buddhists. Students from class 1st to class 10th (from government or private school) can enroll for this scholarship. The students must have scored a minimum of 50% marks in the last exam. The family’s annual salary must not be more than Rs. 1 lakh.

7. Merit-cum-Means Scholarship for Minorities, Punjab

Under Minorities comes Sikhs, Parsis, Christians, Muslims, Jains, and Buddhists. Students from the post-secondary level i.e Class 11(from government or private school) to Ph.D. can apply for this scholarship. The students must have scored a minimum of 50% marks in the last exam. The family’s annual salary must not be more than Rs. 2.5 lakh.

8. Attendance Scholarship for the BC/ EBC and Primary Girl Students in Punjab

This scholarship is for girls only and students who are studying in primary classes can apply for Punjab Scholarship. The student must have a minimum of 75% attendance. The student’s parents should be a tax payee and should have to land less than 5 acres with an annual salary not more than Rs. 1 lakh.

9. Attendance Scholarship for the SC and Primary Girl Students in Punjab

This scholarship is for girls only and students who are studying in primary classes can apply for the scholarship. The student must have a minimum of 75% attendance. The student’s parents should be a tax payee and should have to land less than 5 acres.

SC Scholarship Punjab

The Punjab Scholarship includes the Punjab Post Matric Scholarship for SC students. The post-matric scholarship is available to Scheduled Caste (SC) students who meet the minimum requirements established by the concerning authorities.
