About Southern Cross University

Initially, Lismore Teachers' College was the predecessor institution to Southern Cross University, which started its operation on 23 February 1970, which is currently known as the Northern Rivers Conservatorium site. Dr. Rod Treyvaud was appointed principal in 1984 of the college who oversaw intense building programs which subsequently lead to the introduction of six new degree courses. The institution evolved from a Teachers College of the 70s to a fully-functional university with its unique identity in the year 1994.

Southern Cross University has different campuses at various locations. The Northern New South Wales and the southern Gold Coast celebrates their 25 years in 2019. SCU is a research-focused university that is well-connected with all departments. The institution thus offers a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate academic courses. How To Apply at Southern Cross University?

Students must have completed 12th or International / Australian equivalent of Class 12th for undergraduate courses. For postgraduate students need a minimum 60% marks or 6 CGPA in the UG degree. Masters in Southern Cross University

 Students are required to have a degree considered by the University which is needed to be equal to an Australian Bachelor degree if they want to try for the post-graduation program in the University. Students without a degree equivalent to an Australian Bachelor Degree won't get admission, but with a little of relevant work experience may be admitted to a Graduate Diploma or Masters degree. Diploma courses are also available for post-graduation which are mainly for six months to approximately 1 Year.
