Northwood University is a private institution, which was opened as Northwood Institute in 1959 by Arthur E. Turner and R. Gary Stauffer. The university started with just a hundred students in a building, which was initially located in a 19th-century mansion in Alma, Michigan. Northwood University has a tradition of developing their students as global leaders who can contribute to and find success in the current dynamic and global economic atmosphere. Northwood University has four campuses. It is an urban campus that is spread across an area of 90 acres. The main campus is located at Midlands in Michigan, and there are also other campuses located at Grand Rapids, Troy, East Lansing in Michigan and Cedar Hill in Texas. Online courses are also offered at this university which makes this university's reach very global.
